The Clash of The Cups!
Posted by JDHcoaching | Posted in

"I like my cup just the way it is!. Beside, what you label as pessimism I call being a realist."
"Realist? You.."
"Yes I am a realist! I don't go around trying to make everything okay. I don't go running around blowing sunshine." "How could you run around blowing sunshine? For you the sun never shines. Or, if you reluctantly acknowledge the sun is shining, you do so by complaining that it's either 'too hot' or grab you sunglasses and bitch that it is 'too bright' and try to block it out."
"Well, one of us has to keep things in perspective."
"How is casting your negative shadow over what you see keeping things in perspective?"
"Because..."
"And furthermore, you appear to want to stop the growth of any new thoughts or existing ideas!"
"That
is simply not true. If your so called new thoughts make sense and not
just based on hope; and if the existing ideas have a solid foundation
they will grow."
"Would you please move. You are blocking my view!"
"Why? There really isn't much to see and besides it takes to much energy.
"I was hoping to be able to warm up all below me!"
"What good will that do? You know, I don't have any place to go or the motivation to get there even if I did."
Well, that happens when you don't have hope."
"What happens?"
Your dark outlook. In other words your pessimism. Without hope there isn't motivation. Without motivation movement seems impossible. Without movement the thoughts of being trapped, or that it won't matter feed the dark outlook.
"Wow! You just keep moving."
